once upon a time...
[ 2003-08-31 - 7:36 p.m.]

once upon a time in the land of nonexistance, there lived a girl. this girl wasnt beautiful. she wasnt a princess. she was just a girl. she just wanted a boy. not a prince. not someone with remarkable looks. just a boy.

this girl had tried other boys before. once there was a boy, we will call him asshole, who made her feel as though everything she ever did was wrong. but this girl thought that he was the best she could do and knew that if they broke apart, she would be lonely for a long time. so, this normal girl stayed with this abnormally evil boy. however, one day, she saw that there was more to life than this boy and she killed him.

next, there was this little boy with a big big heart. however, this little boy had been a close friend her whole life and she just wound up hurting him. this girl, however average she may be, knew that one shouldnt mess with a friendship in hopes for something greater. (for whats greater than friendship?)

next there were a couple of..."hiccups." there was this sloppy boy who couldnt even cut his own pancakes and another boy who was nice, but different than expected. (this second one would not have happened under normal circum stances, but when rooms are spinning, no one really cares about too much.)

so then this girl gives up on everything. (male-wise.) she realizes that she has, in fact, been blessed with the best friends in the world. she knows that in the end, everything will be alright. some day (probably about 73 years in the future) she will get her version of a boy. maybe even a prince.

for now, though, she can look in a mirror and say "there is no hope." and she knows that maybe this is how its supposed to be.

however, when she hears certain music, her heart cant help but to swell with emptiness and lonliness. at these times she is the most vulnerable. at these times she fears bad things. at these times she wants frozen fruit and champagne. at these times, she realizes how far away everything seems to be.

"sleep now, moon."
